01 How accurate is it really?
On 1,200+ verified cases, where users sent back the actual contractor quote they ended up with, we landed within 18% on average. Roughly 40% of our quotes are within 10%. About 8% are off by more than 30%, and those are almost always confidence scores under 3. We refund those. You see the confidence score before you pay, not after.
02 Why isn't this free?
Vision models cost real money per request (about $0.40 a call). Keeping the dataset current costs more than that. We'd rather charge $2.99 and keep the quality where it needs to be than offer it free and compress everything down into something useless. If you hate the quote, we refund.
03 Do you work outside the US?
Not yet. The pricing dataset is US-only right now. Materials and labor numbers will be nonsense anywhere else, and we refuse to ship nonsense. Canada is targeted for 2026 Q3. UK is in our plans for 2027 Q1.
04 What kinds of projects does this NOT work for?
Structural stuff (foundations, framing, roof trusses) is a no. So is anything where the real problem isn't visible in the photo. Electrical shorts inside walls. Slab leaks. Mold you can't see. High-end custom work is also a bad fit, because pricing lives or dies on your taste. Cabinetry is borderline. Exterior siding is genuinely hit or miss.
05 Are you a contractor marketplace?
No. Your info never gets shared with contractors. There's no marketplace on our side. No contractor pays us. We don't even maintain a contractor database. What we have is a pricing dataset, which is a different thing entirely.
06 What happens to my photos?
Processed in-region. Kept 90 days so you can flip back through old quotes. Then deleted. We do not train models on your pictures. We do not hand them to anyone. You can wipe the whole lot from your dashboard whenever you want.
07 Can I get a refund if the quote is wrong?
If the confidence score lands below 2/5, the quote is automatically free. We don't charge for it in the first place. If you got something rated 3 or higher and it turned out to be way off, email us with the contractor quote attached and we will refund you. Generously.
08 Who built this?
